DocNomads alumna premieres film in Berlinale

Eneos Çarka’s graduation film “The Silence of the Banana Trees” was presented in the World Film Program of the 26th Ismailia International Film Festival held in Egypt from 5 to 11 February 2025.
The film premiered at the 35th IDFA - International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam in November 2022 and since then has been awarded in many festivals.
The documentary short READING YOU directed by Angeline Teh, which premiered at Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF), will be presented in the Official Selection of the 47th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, held from 1 to 8 February in France.
Pedro Vinicius´s BUSINESS AS USUAL, Ana Vîjdea’s BLUE, and Marta Smerechynska’s HOME IS 1117 KM AWAY will be presented in the New Talent competition at FIPADOC – International Film Festival Biarritz held in France between 24 January and 1 February.
Also, DAD’s LULLABY, a feature-length documentary by DocNomads alumna Lesia Diak, will be presented in the International Competition.
