The short documentary I Don’t Feel at Home Anywhere Anymore, by Viv Li, was awarded a Special Mention in the Competition for Student Documentary at IDFA - International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam.
Farewell to the Books by Diego Quinderé won the main prize of the PrimeirOlhar/FirstLook annual student awards, and Water and Salt by Luisa Mello was awarded an Honourable Mention.
Three more DN films were also presented in the 20th Cinema Encounters of Viana do Castelo: QHUBEKA, THABO by Jethro Westraad, KIDS THESE DAYS, by Kristen van Schie, and THE CELLULOID WOMAN, by Ananthakrishnan Pillai.
The short documentaries Dusk, by Bálint Bíró, and I Don’t Feel at Home Anywhere Anymore, by Viv Li, will premiere in the Competition for Student Documentary at IDFA - International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, the largest documentary festival worldwide, held from 16 November to 6 December 2020.
The graduation film “Dead, Waiting for Rebirth”, directed by Waleed Al Madani, a student from the United Arab Emirates, will premiere in the International Panorama section of 21st Izmir International Short Film Festival held in Turkey.
