DocNomads film presented in Ismailia, Egypt

Eneos Çarka’s graduation film “The Silence of the Banana Trees” was presented in the World Film Program of the 26th Ismailia International Film Festival held in Egypt from 5 to 11 February 2025.
The film premiered at the 35th IDFA - International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam in November 2022 and since then has been awarded in many festivals.

Synopsis:
A father finds shelter in the memories he created together with his daughter to whom he hasn't spoken in years. The film transforms into a go-between in an attempt to unite them through images, sounds, and letters.
