DocNomads film in Yamagata, Japan

MY UNCLE TUDOR, which has been the recipient of several prizes so far, lately won the Best Int. Short Documentary awards in the 24th Guanajuato Film Festival (Mexico) and in the 16th Shorts México, also the Best Short Film Award at 14th Beldocs (Serbia) and the Best Director Award in the Romanian competition at the 28th Astra Film Festival.
Aylin Gökmen´s graduation film SPIRITS AND ROCKS: AN AZOREAN MYTH won the Student Grand Prix at the 44th Drama International Short Film Festival, "for its haunting yet intimate evocation of loss that pushes the boundaries of the documentary form".
The film has also been presented lately in Telluride Film Festival (USA), Beldocs Film Festival (Serbia), Camden Film Fest and POW Film Fest (USA).
In the End of the World, directed by Abraham Escobedo Salas, a DocNomads student from México, won the top prize of the grand finale SOPHIA awards in the category of Best Student Film, which is worth 5.000 €.
The “Sophia” are awarded yearly by the Portuguese Film Academy as a prestigious distinction to professional and student films produced in Portugal.
