Taymour Boulos´ Sounds of Weariness and Eneos Çarka’s A Pigeon’s Song will be presented in the section DOC at Work Future Campus, whereas Olga Lucovnicova’s My Uncle Tudor will be screened in the International Competition of the 62nd edition of Festival dei Popoli – International Documentary Film Festival held from 20 to 28 November in Florence, Italy.
The graduation film Letter from Eusapia directed by Andrés Cornejo Pinto, a DN student from Ecuador, will have its European Premiere in competition at the 34th edition of IDFA - International Documentary Film Festival, the largest documentary festival worldwide which this year is back to the cinema theatres of Amsterdam from 17 to 28 November.
Two more films directed by DN alumni after their graduation were selected to IDFA as well.
Don’t Hesitate to Come for a Visit, Mom by Anna Artemyeva won the Best Student Film award at the 18th Verzio - International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, held in Hungary.
Heritage by Anna Gyimesi, and My Uncle Tudor by Olga Lucovnicova, were also presented in the Student and Debut Competition.
Sounds of Weariness, by Taymour Boulos, won the DoclIsboa’21 Award for Best First Film, and the Silver Eye Award for the Best Short Documentary to which was one of the 10 films nominated at the Industry Programme of the 25th Ji.hlava Int. Documentary Film Festival.
DOC NOMADS Erasmus Mundus Masters Course is aimed to students from all over the world with a BA degree in Film Studies, in Arts or in Media Communication studies.
