The graduation film Portrait of Elika directed by Maryam Bayani will be presented in the 61st DOK Leipzig International Festival for Documentary and Animated Film, held in Germany from 29 October to 4 November.
The documentary AFTER THE FIRE, directed by Ahsan Mahmood Yunus, a DocNomads student from Pakistan, won the Best Film Award of the Green Years Competition at the 16th DocLisboa Film Festival, Portugal.
SONG OF THE BELL, by Hosein Jalilvand, a graduated student from Iran, won the Doc’s Kingdom award for best director, also in the Green Years competition.
The International Film Festival DocLisboa selected 3 films of DocNomads students to screen in its Portuguese Competition and Green Years section during the 16th edition of the festival from 18th to 28th October 2018.
The documentary short Eastward Go directed by Yimeng Zhang, a DocNomads student from China, was selected to the Official Competition of the 27th documentART European Film Festival which takes place in Neubrandenburg, Germany, from 17 to 21 October 2018.
DOC NOMADS Erasmus Mundus Masters Course is aimed to students from all over the world with a BA degree in Film Studies, in Arts or in Media Communication studies.
