Graduation Juries
The completed graduation films are screened and contextualized by the students in their formal presentations during the days of the final exams. These sessions are open to the public and attended by a jury, which is partially composed of DocNomads instructors and/or board members.
The jury also includes two guest external examiners that are varyingly appointed in each year in view to represent the professional and academic world outside of DocNomads program, either being prominent filmmakers, programmers and consultants in major festivals, or faculty staff from other film schools.
This independent jury has 50% of the voting rights in the deliberated mark a student receives for his/her film under exam, and participates in the subsequent feedback sessions giving a general assessment of each graduation film.
