Rada Sesič is a critic, film curator and director, lecturer and a programmer. She is specialized in South Asian and Eastern European cinema.

Sesič has been the head of the documentary competition at Sarajevo FF and the co-head of the Docu Rough Cut Boutique, also a selector of the documentary films at the IDFA in Amsterdam, as well as programme adviser of the International Film Festival in Rotterdam. She has been a member of the selection committee of the Hubert Bals Fund, IDFA Bertha Fund, the Jan Vrijman Fund, the Doha Film Fund, and the EFA jury for documentaries. She has also been an adviser for South-Eastern films at the DOK Leipzig Festival, and a programmer at the IFFK – Festival in Kerala, India.

Mentor at various documentary workshops in Europe and Asia, Rada Sesič was also a lecturer at the University of Amsterdam for eight years, at the Dutch Institute for Film Education NIF, and at the Faculty of Film in Bangalore, India. She is employed at the Dutch Film Academy in Amsterdam, under the Master of Film Studies as a senior professor.

She directed four award-winning shorts and documentaries in the Netherlands and several in Sarajevo where she lived before. Her films and video installations have been exhibited at more than 60 festivals and also presented and archived at MoMA, New York.

As a film critic Rada has been writing for the Skrien, Dox, FimGuide, Film Annals, and the Sineast.
