DocNomads film premieres in Hot Docs, Canada
Coming Back to Life, directed by Mantra Watsa, is having its World Premiere in the Shorts competition at the 31st HotDocs Film Festival held in Toronto from April 25 to May 5.
Two more films authored by DocNomads alumni will be also presented at HotDocs 2024.
XiXi by Fan Wu (Taiwan) will premiere in the International Competition and Agent of Happiness by Arun Bhattarai (Bhutan) and Dorottya Zurbó (Hungary) will be presented in the section World Showcase.

Synopsis:
Shéhrazade is a sex worker who is reclaiming her body and mind from trauma by using illustration and animation to express her point of view and to tilt the power dynamic between voyeur and object. "I thought I could fight the other sex with sex," she contends, as she literally draws on her unique experiences of love and healing.
