DocNomads films selected to DocLisboa 2021
The International Film Festival DocLisboa selected films of DocNomads students to screen in its Portuguese Competition and Green Years section during the 19th edition of the festival held from 21 to 31 October 2021.

Don’t Hesitate to Come for a Visit, Mom by Anna Artemyeva is presented in the Portuguese Competition, whereas in the Green Years competitive section will premiere Sounds of Weariness by Taymour Boulos, and Portrait of Omar at 23 by Aman Wadhan.
The feature documentary From the Wild Sea by Robin Petré, an alumna of DocNomads, will have its Portuguese premiere in DocLisboa, whereas the feature December, Radio Romania by Ana Vijdea, a current student in DocNomads, was selected as the opening film of the Green Years competitive section.

Synopsis
This is a story about the separation of a mother and her three-year-old daughter, who live far from each other, because of visa issues. Every day they communicate in video chat and dream of an imminent meeting.

Synopsis
In the middle of one of his recurrent anxiety attacks, a Lebanese young man living in Brussels finds rest in a self-service laundry. He moves around the place with his microphone, driven by the obsession of understanding the origin of his discomfort.

Synopsis
Omar is a student, not a refugee. He was in Budapest on a scholarship when we first met. He wanted to speak to the world. An unconventional portrait of my Syrian friend when he turned 23. His voice against the quiet flicker of an uncertain future.
