“What We Still Can Do” awarded in Oberhausen
“What We Still Can Do”, the documentary short directed by Nora Ananyan as a DocNomads student, was awarded the ZONTA Prize to a female filmmaker in the International Competition of the 66th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen.
The statement of the jury reads: “Our prize goes to a film, a filmmaker's debut film, a manifesto of empathy and solidarity: a film about the relationship between a mother and daughter in a hospice. Endless possibilities of mutual love open up at the moment of farewell.”

Synopsis:
A gentle meditative touch on the relationship between mother and daughter in a hospice centre.
At this stage of their relationship, they both realize the importance of giving each other freedom.
The act of letting go of each other is opening an infinite space of love and appreciation - the little things they can do together.
