Waleed´s graduation film dead, waiting for rebirth is being screened for the first time in Damascus and various cities around Syria, as part of the Syrian National Film Organization's first film festival after the fall of the Ba’ath Government.

Synopsis:
Wael, a Syrian citizen, is being arbitrarily detained simply for being from the city of Al-Mazamiyah, a city known by its people for being with the Syrian revolution against the Syrian Baath regime.
Wael takes us on a journey through his experience in solitary confinement and is subjected to some form of torture as one of the detainees of Bashar Al-Assad's regime.
Imprisoned under the brutal reality that he will never see the outside world again.
