DocNomads films showcased in IberoDocs | Scotland
Two DocNomads films were featured in the short film programme The Sea at IberoDocs — Scotland’s first showcase dedicated to Ibero-American culture, with a focus on documentary cinema from Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin American filmmakers.
As part of the programme’s activities, DocNomads alumna María Goya Barquet led a masterclass on the intersection between nature, documentary, and the cinematic framing of landscapes.

A new environmental strand within IberoDocs, “The Sea” brings together powerful short films by women filmmakers that reflect on our complex relationship with the ocean and coastal life. Together, they form a resonant chorus – stories of memory, longing, survival, and transformation – each uniquely anchored by the voices and visions of women.
