DocNomads alumnus premieres film at Guadalajara, Mexico
At the End of the World by Abraham Escobedo-Salas, an alumnus from Mexico, will premiere a feature-length documentary originated from the development of his short film in DocNomads at the 40th Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) held in Mexico from 6 to 14 June.
Only on Earth, directed by alumna Robin Petré, which premiered at Berlinale in last February, will be also presented at FICG and competing for the festival’s Socio-Environmental Award.

Cecilio, an addict and drug dealer, tries to escape the world of drugs while surviving as a squatter in Lisbon. Despite his efforts to change his life by starting a new job, the ruthless system and personal demons continue to push him to the margins of society. This dark journey, exploring his own being, will lead him to find dignity and solidarity along the way.
