DocNomads film selected to Oaxaca in México

The documentary Bakter – The Track Changer directed by Venice Atienza, a DocNomads student from the Philippines, will be in competition in the short docs section of the Oaxaca International Film Festival held in México from 6 to 13 October 2017.

Synopsis:
Erno worked as a train track changer for most of his life. In a small base a kilometre away from the train station of Dvory nad Žitavou in Slovakia, he changed the directions of passing trains for forty-two years and nine months. As he tries to tell his life story, he realises that something is missing.
