Sound Advisor

Tamás Bohács started his university studies in Social Work. Later he graduated as a sound designer at the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Budapest and continued his master's studies at Den Norske Filmskolen in Oslo. As an exchange student, he spent one year in Berlin at the Konrad Wolf University.

He is credited with numerous short films, documentaries, and feature-length fiction. In addition to post-production, he has more than ten years of experience in sound recording on location for both Hungarian and international productions.

Besides constantly training himself to keep up to date with his profession's ever-changing technical environment, Tamás considers sound dramaturgy a priority in his work. He digs deep into the story and contributes to the film by creating complex and expressive sound design. He believes that sound is a form of art, and he passes his belief to DocNomads students.

In 2020, he founded his own company, INFAZE Studio, with his colleague and friend Rudolf Várhegyi, which allows him to focus on projects he is passionate about. He enjoys working on films that deal with socially sensitive issues. His filmography includes Woman Captured, Surviving Sex Trafficking, and Colors of Tobi.

He is a member of the Hungarian Sound Art Society, H.S.A.S.
