Gábor Ferenczi is an independent director, scriptwriter, consultant, and actor from Hungary.

He has worked in short fictions, features, documentaries and television films.

After graduating as engineer in the Technical University of Budapest in 1974, he acquired a degree as a film and television director from the University of Theatre and Film Arts Budapest in 1984 under the supervision of Zoltán Fábry.

In 1984-88 he was a member of the MAFILM Creative Office; a story consultant at Hunnia Film Studio, and manager of Balázs Béla Studio.

In his professional career Gábor was involved in numerous documentaries, feature films, television programs and commercials. He was awarded the Balázs Béla Prize.

Since 2003 has been teaching at several universities, namely in the Department of Film Studies at ELTE; in the Art and Design Department of the Moholy-Nagy University; the Budapest Metropolitan University and in the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Budapest.
