Barbara Persyn has a Master in Law (University of Ghent) and after that completed a Master in Cultural Management (UA).

After her studies, she ended up in the art world. She combined her passion for law and art in 2011 when she started to work at Het Huis van de Auteurs (the Writers Guild).

She specialized in copyright law through an additional master study Intellectual Property Rights (KU Leuven - Campus Brussels). Currently, she provides legal advice to both members of de Auteurs as of SACD-SCAM.
