Charo Calvo was born in Madrid, and is an Electroacoustic music composer and sound designer. 

She studied Physics, Contemporary dance (a professional during ten years), Music and Singing. Graduated in Electroacoustic Composition by Mons Conservatory in 1999. Teacher on Composition for Media and Sound Creation at Mons Conservatory (MA degree), RITS High School of Arts, and LUCA School of Arts. She participates in workshops and lectures at different institutions in Europe.

As a composer she has been active for twenty years collaborating on international projects in a large spectrum of media video, cinema, theatre, dance, installations, radio, acousmatic music. Always fascinated by the power of sound images and the open field of the dramaturgy of sound.

Her last radio piece, 'Phonobiographie#1', has won the EBU Palma Ars Acustica in 2014, and was nominated for the Prix Europa 2014 at Berlin.
