CRISTINA HANES & ISABELLA RINALDI (DN3)

Cristina and Isabelle already presented their collective NoCut and their latest film project at the Alumni meeting last year. They are currently filming in India for their feature documentary “A rifle and a bag", and since last year a lot of changes and progress have taken place, and so they would be happy to share their new trailer and production updates.

ROSS MCCLEAN (DN5)

Since graduating from Docnomads in June 2018 Ross has been working on a documentary inside Northern Ireland's only juvenile detention centre. He has received 10,000 Euro funding from the Scottish Documentary Institute and NI Screen as part of the “Bridging the Gap" program to create a 15’-20’ short film. Ross will share more about his journey and show the trailer of his documentary.

VAHAGN KHACHATRYAN (DN3)

Vahagn want to share how his life has been after graduation, and how he has founded the Cinewave platform together with fellow DocNomads in Armenia. He will explain to what this platform was founded for and how it helps young filmmakers to develop their first projects. He is also working on his first feature documentary “Armenian Dreamers", and so will give an insight into its current production phase and how budgeting is organised.

ALEXANDER MIHALKOVICH (DN3)

Alexander's presentation will focus on how he tried to overcome difficulties in his post-Nomad life in regard to the non-existent film support and funding system in Belarus. He decided to extend the project he previously directed as his graduation film, and so would like to share this process and how the film, despite the difficulties, got into different festivals.
