Elsa Ferreira graduated as sound specialist at the National School of Theater and Cinema (ESTC) in Lisbon, after completing the course Image and Audio-visual Communication at António Arroio art school in Lisbon.

She began her professional career in 1999, and since then she worked in more than 100 film and TV productions, as sound editor and many times also as sound designer.

Her professional experience encompasses documentaries, feature films, fiction shorts, TV series, telefilms and commercials.

She has been teaching in several training programs, and in 2013 she joined the instructors team of the DocNomads-Lisbon semester at Lusófona University.
