Tamás Kollányi, currently a DLA candidateteaches editing classes in SZFE - University of Theatre and Film Arts Budapest, and works with the other Editing faculty in the curriculum development. He also oversees post-production support operations for SZFE. 

His editing career spans a wide range of projects in the realm of film, documentary, television, animation and commercial production. He worked early on in the documentary field with Klára Kis. He was an editor on Ágnes Kocsis's feature “Adrienn Pál” which won the 2010 FIPRESCI award in Cannes. 

As a film editor, he has worked with directors Kocsis Tibor, Tóth Tamás, Mundruczó Kornél, Herendi Gábor, Dénes Gábor, Xantus János, Schiffer Pál, Császi Ádám, Új Mészáros Károly. He is a member of The Hungarian Motion Picture Editor's Guild and served as a Vice President from 2005 to 2009.
