In this course unit students produce their individual semester films, based on an assigned topic and grounded in the acquired knowledge from the previous two exercises in Documentary Film Directing | A.
Their works should synthesise observational, participatory or reflexive modes of documentary filmmaking.
Students develop their film projects in one-to-one advisory sessions with film professionals. They get constant guidance in analysing their subjects, further developing the narrative structure, preparing and presenting an effective pitch, finding their formal approach, planning and organising their shootings, editing image and mixing sound.
