Ezequiel Salinas won the prize for the best cinematographer for Dusk at the Zsigmond Vilmos Film Festival in Hungary, which is the biggest festival dedicated to cinematographers. Remarkably, it’s the first time that a short film and a documentary won the main prize.
The IFFI – International Film Festival Innsbruck in Austria presented a selection of seven short films directed by non-European students in DocNomads program, which were screened on the 28th of May in the festival’s thematic section Worldwide Visions. This special session was curated by Isabella Rinaldi and Cristina Hanes from the No Cut Collective formed by three DocNomads alumni.
Andrés Cornejo Pinto´s graduation film Letter from Eusapia was selected to the Shorts Competition of the Tel Aviv International Documentary Film Festival held from May 26 to June 5, which is the only festival in Israel dedicated exclusively to documentary films.
The film premiered last year in HOTDOCS, Canada, followed by IDFA Amsterdam, and recently was presented at Go Short in Nijmegen, Netherlands.
