Miguel Cardoso is completing his PhD in English Studies at Birkbeck College (University of London), and holds a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures (FCSH – UNL, Lisbon), a BA in English Studies (University of Portsmouth) and an MA in Modern Literatures in English (Birkbeck College, London).

He has been a lecturer at CIEE (Centre for International Exchange Education) since 2008, where he has taught courses such as “Topics in Portuguese Culture” (2012) and “The Politics of Representation: Culture in Contemporary Portugal“.

He is a member of the Unipop Association (http://www.unipop.info/), the editor of the association's magazine, “Imprópria”, and has organized and taken part in numerous courses, seminars, and debates.

He is also a translator and poet, having published in several magazines.
